Who the fuck said that the ’70 were bad?

There’s a lady who’s sure all that glitters is gold
And she’s buying a stairway to heaven.
When she gets there she knows, if the stores are all closed
With a word she cant get what she came for.
Ooh, ooh, and she’s buying a stairway to heaven.

There’s a sign on the wall but she wants to be sure
‘Cause you know sometimes words have two meanings.
In a tree by the brook, there’s a songbird who sings,
Sometimes all of our thoughts are misgiven.

Ooh, it makes me wonder,
Ooh, it makes me wonder.

There’s a feeling I get when I look to the west,
And my spirit is crying for leaving.
In my thoughts I have seen rings of smoke through the trees,
And the voices of those who stand looking.

Ooh, it makes me wonder,
Ooh, it really makes me wonder.

And it’s whispered that soon, if we all call the tune,
Then the piper will lead us to reason.
And a new day will dawn for those who stand long,
And the forests will echo with laughter.

If there’s a bustle in your hedgerow, don’t be alarmed now,
It’s just a spring clean for the May queen.
Yes, there are two paths you can go by, but in the long run
There’s still time to change the road you’re on.
And it makes me wonder.

Your head is humming and it won’t go, in case you don’t know,
The piper’s calling you to join him,
Dear lady, can you hear the wind blow, and did you know
Your stairway lies on the whispering wind?

And as we wind on down the road
Our shadows taller than our soul.
There walks a lady we all know
Who shines white light and wants to show
How everything still turns to gold.
And if you listen very hard
The tune will come to you at last.
When we all are one and one is all
To be a rock and not to roll.

And she’s buying the stairway to heaven.

Everyone has relatives that he deserves ….

201301 Chiara-13Yes, It’s been a long time since April 6. The day that I went to see at the Theatre (yes, I like to write it with capital letter, many people in ITaly consider it as a lowercase stuff), the performance organised by the students of the Accademia Internazionale di Teatro di Roma. Why? First of all because we studied my niece and I can’t pretend that this has not had a major role in get rid of my laziness. But also because the theater has always fascinated me. Anyone who knows me knows about my past, but I like the place itself. Where curiosity and expectations meet energy and sane vanity; where spaces, trying to be stylish, to viewers live side by side with workshop, crowded hallways, closets full of artists and costumes. So the theater is a vortex that ever attracts me. I was there, at around eight in the evening, and with my camera I quickly annoyed the various workers: the cashier, a rearing and another guy. I have not surrendered until I heard the beautiful phrase “Yes, you can make pictures, but I recommend you, with no flash!”.  The show for me was touching. I feel sorry for the Theatre workers, not so much for the show itself, but for the energy and desire to do well what they were doing those guys on stage. Beyond their talent more or less acerbic, in the audience arrived the satisfaction in proving the result of a course of study that may have required some sacrifice; the enthusiasm to do something in which they believe and want to do well. However, at the end of the evening, after greetings my cousins, we’re back home after having promised to send, or otherwise share, the photos.

Will be the age, will be the abuse of medicinal products of the last period or maybe it’s simple predisposition, but I don’t know what happened with the photos! Or rather, where they were, I knew it very well. But my brain had filed the fact as ended and made in various parts of how I had imagined: arrange photos, uploaded to a site to share them, wrote a post and also posted a link to my cousins to see everything. But when?

If I hadn’t phoned by Caterina who, with a very educated phrase, said to me: “But the photos where is that you put out?”, I would be no more thought.  It was clear her real meaning: “But when you’ll show such blessed pictures? It can be possible to distinguish actors from curtains? You decide?”.

I hope to have now materialized those who were my belief. The more watchable pictures are in the Pinterest album 2013 Scuola di Teatro and in Flickr 2013 Theatre.
Certainly I cannot say “I do not anymore” …..

Femicide, elections, is there much difference?

20130529-145941.jpg
These days, television and newspapers are filled with comments on the last election. Absenteeism, ballots, the outcome of the “Movimento 5 Stelle” and consequent Government balances, are the main topics of the debates.
I think that the lack of participation in the voting, recognized by all, is the element around which opinions and more disparate views are developed . ‘The administrative involve fewer people than national’, ‘On Sunday there was the Roma-Lazio soccer game’, ‘The italians are also tired of the anti-politics’, ‘The proposals of the party XX have not interested too much’.
On May 29 we discussed in the House of Parliament, the law on femminicidio on the ratification of the Convention of Istanbul . The “femminicidio” is an odious offens because it is a murder and none of the nations you want to call civil, may allow or permit the killing of a person. But it is particularly odious because it hits people in so far as women (wives, daughters, girlfriends, lovers, etc. ).
If we consider its entity, in relation to the opposite offense, where victims are persons as men (husbands, sons, boyfriends, lovers, etc. ) it is evident the disparity in number and frequency. This disparity is only the expression of a mentality not adequate for a civil society, an ethical widespread that highlights all the weaknesses and inadequacies.
aulacamera 29 MaggioI found only on the Corriere della Sera a photo showing the house of the Parliament during the debate: empty. In internet I found only this photo taken by a member of the Parliament. Because it is a singularity of our politicians: although the meetings are public, you may not make pictures; such as in museums.
Yes, because in the museums, you pay for the ticket to see the exhibited works, but the museum will keep the right to copy and make money with posters and merchandising. Now, said that I do not think that there is a large market for the poster of our politicians and that i don’t see many wear shirts with their pictures, i can’t understand what they have to hide their behavior or attitudes during the public meetings.
But maybe you are, because it does not feel personally involved in a discussion on femminicidio and also this is a behavior that contributes to poverty of ethics and, in the bottom, they are ashamed.
Maybe it’s the same reason why the Italians refuse to vote for representatives who, regardless of real or alleged judicial affairs, continuously demonstrate lack of ethics punctually and betray even the minimal expectations. I would recommend to all politicians and would-be, to make a personal examination on ethics before they look elsewhere for reasons of absenteeism that, nobody wants to admit, comes from disgust.

Il Lavoro è un diritto

20130521-102020.jpg

The important thing is to participate? No it’s because you join ….

Conner e Cayden LongOne of the great nonsense that we are dished up since they were children is that “it’s important not to win, but to participate“, giving this sentence to Pierre de Coubertin. I believe it is the basis of a false idea that leads to not commit themselves to win. But attention, the important thing is not even win!
This is another interpretation, equally distorted, which idolizes the winners and be deemed void all the others.

You will say: “What do you say? Then for you nothing is important? Won’t okay nothing!”. No, to me okay is what really said de Couberten (here in French, but you can understand): “l’important dans la vie ce n’est point le triomphe, mais le combat, l’essentiel ce n’est pas d’avoir vaincu mais de s ‘ être bien battu.“. Got It? The important thing is to participate with the aim to win, to give the best of themselves unstintingly. Understand that sacrifice, recognition of defeat, commitment, are the true values that build a person.

So, if one realizes that in any competition he will never come to the podium, is better than he retires, to not participate, that no lots? Depends on what is “the podium”. Because not always the podium means the first, second or third place. Sometimes, indeed often, the podium is represented by our goals. Here is the power of sports training: teach you to reach goals that are not absolute but are the challenges to which you can participate because they are your own and this is worth engaging, to sacrifice himself to become winners in front of us and not for others.

A concrete example are the Conner and Cayden Long brothers. In 2011 Cayden, born with brain problems that did not allow him to walk and talk, was six years old. His brother Conner had eight and wanted to have fun with Cayden. Read their story in this article and see the video. There are those who see Conner as a hero, but he doesn’t understand why. For him, these races are just a chance to have fun together with his brother. So what is important to you?

Europe new men

Bossi Yacht 02On the theme “Technological innovations and industrial development”, in a conference in Gardone Riviera held by the Italian “Federazione dei Cavalieri del Lavoro”, a speaker (ED) said that: «… in the technological innovation is the future of Europe and we should not consider the elections (european ones) as an opportunity to verify or “settlement of accounts” between the parties or party currents …». Just imagine the European electoral competition as a “settling of accounts” between the parties, as well as to the meaning of that expression condemns serious acts, mortifies any hope for a United Europe. With a political class from “settling of accounts” is only possible collusion between the  neo-landowners, parochial, vassal appointed by the vote of the sovereign people, irremovable for generations, according to a new apocryphal Salic law. Such a political class, unable to perceive historical acceleration, that today turns to speed social configurations and growing geopolitical situations in the world, and that refers to its distant experiences light-years from today’s reality, cannot understand the new needs of the present, the challenges of future years and couldn’t fit into a constructive European dimension. For a United Europe we need new generations of young politicians matured with positions of increasing responsibility in domestic and foreign productive sectors; they have to know two, three languages and be free from thankfulness to the parties that are benn built on “settling of accounts”.

We and them

20130425-142026.jpg

We are right and them wrong.
We, in the north, we are working and their, terroni, survive thanks to the mafia.
We, in our party, we know what to do for Italy and them, want to destroy it.
We, in our circle, we know what we must do the for party and their, they want to sell off the party.
We, that we do not have balconies, we don’t have to pay the work and them, that have balconies must found for proper mainteinance.
We, on our team, we are the champions and their, win because they buy the football referee.
We, who are the people, are suffering from the crisis and that they are politicians, what they do?
We and them.

Our society (or perhaps only the Italian society? ), makes us feel safe and in reason, only when we belong to an us that exists because it is against a their well identified. We have lost all of the ability to show the strength of our reasons and our ideas. Alone, we do not know what to do, we have no ideas. Or perhaps we are afraid to have them.

Only one thing is certain: as long as you see in this country will continue to look for a their to blame and to be used to build our ideas, we will be nothing to what we are and we think.
It is sufficient to an us more great (the China’) that we see as a their and we will be without escape.

I think that when we give response to the kennedian thought ‘What I have to do? What i want to do.‘ We will become the new protagonists and not disappointed spectators of our lives.

Penso senza dirlo
- Vado a prelevare e poi torno. Mi saprebbe dire dov’è un Bancomat vicino?
- Bhooooo
